  • Dr. Danning Li2024-02-01Dr. Danning Li joined Prof. Leng's group in 2019, and he got his Ph.D. degree in January 2024. Now he is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Prof. Leng's group. His research focuses sustainable paving materials, especially rubberzied asphalt, aging and recycling of reclaimed asphalt pavement, temperature field of pavement structure, and life cycle analysis. He is also the editor of this website, gym coach of Prof. Leng, and a very interesting guy.
  • Dr. Dong Lu2024-12-02Dr. Lu Dong joined Prof. Leng's group in 2022 as a joint PhD student.
  • Dr. Yulin He2024-12-01Dr. Yulin He joined Prof. Leng's group in November 2024 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology (Supervised by Prof. Dawei Wang). He has received CSC scholarships, the WTC & TRC Outstanding Paper Award. His research interests are green (GEP) and functional pavement materials, vehicle-road coordination for numerical intelligent driving, pavement skid resistance and safe driving control, Road planning and design, etc.
  • Dr. Jiasheng Huang2024-09-09Dr. Jiasheng Huang joined Professor Leng's research group as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in September 2024, after earning his Ph.D. degree from City University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Professor Kim Meow Liew. His research interests include large deformation and failure analysis of materials, machine learning-assisted modeling, and multiscale modeling.
  • Dr. Xinqiang Zhang2024-09-09Dr. Xinqiang Zhang joined Prof. Leng’s group in August 2024 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree from Chongqing Jiaotong University (Supervised by Prof. Boming Tang). His research interests mainly focus on risk assessment on the asphalt fumes, and recycled asphalt, waste recycling on asphalt pavement.
  • Dr. Zihang Wen2024-09-09Dr. Zihang Weng joined Prof. Leng's group in Aug 2024 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree in transportation engineering (Supervised by Prof. Yuchuan Du) in July 2024, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in July 2018 from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. From Oct 2022 to Oct 2023, he served as an academic guest in the Institute of Construction & Infrastructure Management at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.   • Dr. Linyi Yao2024-02-01Dr. Linyi Yao has joined Prof. Leng’s group as a Research Assistant from October 2019. She obtained her PhD degree in Jan 2024 and MSc in Highway and Railway Engineering from Southeast University in June 2019. She is now a Post Doctoral Fellow in Prof. Leng's group. Her research work focuses on pavement asset management, including pavement performance modelling, maintenance optimization and intelligent decision-making, and pavement sustainability and life cycle assessment.
  • Dr. Yubo Sun2023-12-15Dr. Yubo Sun joined Prof. Leng’s group in Nov 2023. He got his Ph.D degree in civil engineering at Labo Magnel-Vandepitte, Ghent University in 2023 (Promoter: Prof. Geert De Schutter, Prof. Guang Ye). He’s serving as technical committee member in a few RILEM TCs. His current research interests focus on low-carbon pavement and construction materials, additive manufacturing, and AI-aided material design & assessment.
  • Dr. Fuliao Zou2023-12-10Mr. Fuliao Zou joined Prof. Leng’s group in October 2016. He obatined his Ph.D. from PolyU in 2023. His Ph.D. study focuses on pavement-environment interactions, including leaching behaviors of different asphalt paving materials, risk assessment on the leachates of asphalt pavement, and environmental impacts of tire-road wears and micro rubbers. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University and master’s degree in Environmental Management and Engineering from PolyU. H
  • Dr. Mingyang Gong2023-03-04Dr. Mingyang Gong joined Dr. Leng's group in May, 2023. Before joining Dr. Leng’s group, He received his Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology (Supervisor: Prof. Jingyun Chen). His research interests mainly focus on multiscale modelling and mechanical characterization of asphalt pavements.
