Dr. Zihang Weng joined Prof. Leng's group in Aug 2024 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree in transportation engineering (Supervised by Prof. Yuchuan Du) in July 2024, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in July 2018 from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. From Oct 2022 to Oct 2023, he served as an academic guest in the Institute of Construction & Infrastructure Management at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. His research interests lie in the field of computer-aided pavement condition assessment using emerging sensing technologies, with a focus on the evaluation of pavement surface characteristics using 3D laser scanning data.
