Dr. Danning Li's story with ZL Research Group started in 2019, when he joined Prof. Leng's group as a research assistant. He became a Ph.D. student in 2020 and got his Ph.D. degree in December 2023. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Prof. Leng's group during 2024-2025, and then he started his career as a Research Assistant Professor in January 2026. His research area includes the development of low-carbon paving materials, life cycle analysis of road infrastructure, and machine learning-assisted design of asphalt paving materials. He is also the editor of this website, gym coach of Prof. Leng, and a very interesting guy.
